Skin-to-Skin: A Priceless Intervention
As a young woman preparing to become a mother while navigating a very toxic marriage, my first pregnancy was anything but easy. I went overdue, was induced, and ultimately had a C-section. The stress took a serious toll on my body and even caused an ulcer. I was exhausted, overwhelmed, and incredibly vulnerable.
Everything changed when I was introduced to skin-to-skin contact.
Holding my baby close, skin to skin, transformed those early days. My once-fussy newborn settled peacefully against me and nursed with ease. Each of my babies was held in skin-to-skin contact all day, every day, until they were four to five months old. My only real job in those early months was changing diapers — the rest came naturally. I healed beautifully, both physically and emotionally. I breastfed my first child until she was one year old. Today, that baby is 16 years old: brilliant, outgoing, confident, and deeply in love with life. I truly believe the foundation we built through skin-to-skin contact and breastfeeding played a powerful role in her development. From early milestones to intellectual growth and emotional intelligence, she has always thrived.
When my second baby was born, I faced serious medical complications and spent weeks hospitalized for surgery while my oldest waited for me at home. During daily visits with my newborn, these garments made it possible for me to safely hold her skin to skin while pumping hands-free and protecting my milk supply. Pumping was not easy for me. Returning home with a wound vac and returning to breastfeeding was very difficult and painful, but I was determined to provide that gift to my child — and it was well worth the effort and pain. I went on to breastfeed her for three years.
The thoughtful design allowed me to hold my newborn close while still comforting her big sister — no one felt left out. Those moments created an unbreakable bond and a deep sense of security for both of my girls. As she grew, I watched her meet and often surpass developmental and educational milestones. She is sharp, determined, and incredibly capable.
When I returned to my hairdressing business, I wore my babies while working. I am a hairdresser, and I held my babies skin to skin even while I worked — some of my clients never even realized they were there. They loved being snuggled close and nursing discreetly on demand. This continued with each of my children. I breastfed my second daughter for three years and my third child until she was three and a half years old. Today, they are strong-minded, resilient, and thrive on challenge — children who truly love life and learning.
With my third baby, I once again embraced daily, consistent skin-to-skin contact while working, living, and mothering. The connection we shared went far beyond anything I imagined. Watching all three of my children grow, I saw how consistent closeness and extended breastfeeding nurtured not only emotional security, but confidence, curiosity, resilience, and intellectual growth.
These supportive garments were essential in allowing me to maintain a normal, active lifestyle while giving my babies my very best. Skin-to-skin contact and breastfeeding don’t just feel good — they lay a foundation. In my experience, they help raise children who are emotionally grounded, resilient, and intellectually strong.
Skin-to-skin isn’t just bonding.
It’s healing.
It’s empowering.
It’s a priceless intervention that supports breastfeeding, connection, resilience, and lifelong well-being.

The Swaddle was “Wonderful”” I was able to hold him on my chest within minutes of my C-Section. I wore it my entire stay.

Being able to conveniently, comfortably, and modestly have skin to skin contact with my baby was absolutely PRICELESS!   Somehow this miracle flexible material has allowed me to maximize the bond with my baby while cuddling.
It is strong enough to hold a baby or provide support for my breasts while also super soft and breathable (for layering) yet warm enough to wear alone.
