Warm & Purpose-Driven
To thoughtfully support families through informed design, empowering healthier beginnings for generations to come.
To enable the life changing benefits of skin to skin contact, a garment of support is needed. To produce this, we studied, traveled, and trained to enable the full benefits of skin to skin contact.
Mother Centered & Holistic
Sylvia, founder of Precious Image Creations, is a woman who has truly done it all—and continues to do the work.
Her journey is rooted in both artistry and advocacy. After returning to school for design, Sylvia combined her creative vision with a deep commitment to maternal and infant wellness. Her path has taken her across borders and into communities, donating garments to Haiti and working hands-on with mothers, professionals, and experts in the field.
Sylvia has educated herself through conventions, hospital-based training, pilot studies, and direct collaboration with midwives and lactation consultants actively practicing in the field. She is KC–certified and remains deeply engaged in current research, ensuring her work reflects the most up-to-date knowledge in breastfeeding, skin-to-skin care, and maternal health.
From honoring the golden hour and the breast crawl, to supporting skin-to-skin contact, breastfeeding, pumping, and hands-free solutions, Sylvia designs with intention. Every piece is created to support real journeys—making them easier, more empowering, and more beautiful.
At the heart of Precious Image Creations is a belief that education, thoughtful design, and compassionate support can positively shift future generations. Sylvia stays current in both research and fashion so that mothers never have to choose between function and feeling confident.
This is more than a brand. It’s a lifelong mission—crafted with experience, guided by science, and fueled by love.

Nurturing Potential from the Very Beginning
At Precious Image™ Creations, our mission is simple but powerful: to optimize every newborn’s potential—starting from their very first moments outside the womb.
Decades of global research confirm that one of the most effective ways to support a baby’s lifelong development is through skin-to-skin contact, also known as kangaroo care. This natural, chest-to-chest connection in the first hours, days, and weeks of life supports:
* Brain development
* Bonding and attachment
* Emotional regulation
* Resilience and stress reduction
* Lifelong patterns of love and nurture
But to make skin-to-skin truly sustainable—especially in the early postpartum period—a safe, supportive garment is essential. That’s where we come in.
Our Journey
What followed was a passion-driven journey of over 30 years of research, development, and collaboration with hospitals, birthing centers, and mothers. Through this experience, we created a complete line of functional, wearable garments that support:
* Immediate and extended skin-to-skin contact
*Â Breastfeeding support and access
*Â Comfort and modesty for the mother
*Â Safety and security for the baby
* Every mother wants to give her baby the best—and nothing is more powerful than her own skin, warmth, and heartbeat. She just needs the right tools and the right information.
Serving Where It Matters Most
We believe the first days of life are the most critical. That’s why we’ve focused our efforts on serving hospitals, birthing centers, and perinatal care providers—equipping them with the garments and guidance they need to support moms and babies when it matters most.
Precious Image™ Creations is more than a clothing company.
We’re part of a movement to reconnect babies with their first environment—their mother’s chest—and in doing so, change the course of future generations.
Sylvia Houston
Founder
Our founder, Sylvia Houston, began her career in design at just 13 years old and earned her first patent for a discreet breastfeeding garment in 1983. Her life’s work took a transformative turn in 2001 after learning about the profound benefits of skin-to-skin care from global experts like Dr. Susan Ludington, Dr. Barbara Morrison, and Dr. Nils Bergman. Since 2001, we have worked with Birthing Centers, Moms, and Skin-to Skin Specialists to develop garments to meet the needs of mom and baby from birth through the first months of life. Our desire for you is that you have “A well-adjusted child that cries less and smiles more”.
